Current Projects at the Waterman & Western Shop

This car was rebuilt with one of our fiberglass roofs. pete sand  blasted and repainted this car. It will have new siding installed in time for the Holiday Lights train. The siding will be painted in Armor Yellow the same as the 401 steel car.

ROTARY SNOW PLOW

This winter was very hard on our railroad with the deep snow. We now have a rotary snow plow under construction. It will have a 40" wheel and be able to clear the train from snow 48" deep. 8-23-10 Rick & Pete started the frame. Roatry Wheel & Housing are now ready to install.

 

NEW CASTLE ENTRANCE

The entrance to our tunnel has seen better days. We decided this year to replace it with a new one. All steel frame work and concrete bases will make a much stronger entrance. Again this year the tunnel will be constructed of sheet plastic, but hope to replace it with a new per enclosed structure in the coming years. This was completed in October 2009 and repainted.

 

Halloween and Holiday Lights are coming up soon so there will be things to do to prepare for these events.
